How to measure your feet
- Measure at the end of the day. Feet swell, and a wedding day is a long day.
- Wear the socks or hosiery you plan to wear with the shoes.
- Place a sheet of paper flat against a wall on a hard floor. Stand on it with your heel touching the wall, weight evenly on both feet.
- Have someone mark the paper at the tip of your longest toe — which is not always the big toe.
- Measure from the wall edge of the paper to the mark. Write the number down in both inches and centimetres — the tables below are in inches, and we work in centimetres when we check a fit for you.
- Repeat for the other foot. Use the larger of the two measurements. Almost everyone has one foot slightly bigger.
If your measurement falls between two sizes, choose the larger size. Extra room can be adjusted with an insole or a thicker sock; a shoe that is too short cannot be fixed.

Fit notes
- Between sizes? Go up. Painted shoes cannot be stretched after sealing.
- Wide feet? Go up half a size and tell us in the order notes.
- Buying for a child? Measure again close to the date. Children's feet change fast, and a pair ordered four weeks ahead has to still fit on the day.
